Measurement of betaine concentration
Betaine is used in the production of liquid soap, pharmaceutical shampoos, and efficient cleansing agents as well as detoxifiers, foam stabilizers, and viscosity modifiers. Concentration measurement of betaine can be measured in solvents by using Schmidt + Haensch inline process sensors, both inline as process analytical technology (PAT) and bench-top instruments. The production process of betaine regarding extraction, purification, concentration, and crystallization is monitored using our inline process refractometers equipped with a special Betaine scale.
